There is no magic to the "Lint Problem"

I am often asked by those with twisted dreadlocks about lint build-up. I don't have any magical solution but I do suggest having friendships. Friends and family are what it takes to get the lint out of your hair. It is your friends and family that will have to sit behind you and pick lint out of your hair. The least you can do is make sure that they have a pleasant experience. Make sure that your hair smells good and doesn't leave their fingers with a gross residue. When you are using my method as described in the book How to Grow Amazing Dreadlocks the Natural Way, you will wash your hair at least twice a week. This alone will help a lot. By not using moisturizers, conditioners, or oils your hair will also attract less lint.

When your hair gets longer you can do the bulk of it yourself because you can see more of your hair. I am often amazed at what I pull from my dreadlocks.
